Developmental Psychology

It is the scientific study of how and why people change throughout their lives. It began with infants and children and has since expanded to include adolescence, adult development, and ageing. Professional developmental psychologists attempt to explain how thinking, feeling, and behavioural changes occur over the course of a lifetime. This field looks at three major aspects: physical development, cognitive development, and socioemotional development. Motor skills, executive functions, moral understanding, language acquisition, emotion development, and identity formation are all included in these three major dimensions.
